Who is The Safe Boater Team?
The Safe Boater Training Program was established in 1999 in response to federal legislation requiring all persons operating a boat in Canada, to have certification. The Safe Boater Team is a Canadian Coast Guard accredited "provider" of this certification, through the issuance of Pleasure Craft Operators Cards that are valid for life.
The Safe Boater Team consists of over 200 representatives and test centers across Canada. Highest quality manuals, materials, courses and testing - are all part of The Safe Boater program.
To make it simple for Canadian boaters, 'The Safe Boater Manual' is available through Chapters, Indigo, Safeway, plus hundreds of independent bookstores and retail outlets. Direct instructional courses are also offered. Experienced boaters can take the test online on this website, or visit one of the "onsite locations" operated on weekends by the traveling Safe Boater Road Teams.
